That's awesome! Brings back a lot of childhood memories. Except the first time my dad put me on a mini bike I ran into campground outhouse and fell over

That is cool.

I had my first kickstart-single project at about that age, but I didn't get to ride it.

Being a Maytag washing machine engine, it didn't come with wheels.

Niiice!

He'll have a blast! I used to dig out my little z50 once in awhile when I got out of the Army, even at 225 the thing had nerve enough to move!
You can't beat a small Honda for a 1st bike.

Cry Bike for sale

A deal is a deal, so the bike is for sale. Told him if he paid for it, helped fix it, and for some reason didn't want to ride he could sell it. Well try as I might he won't ride it. Wants to sell it. At least he understands a little work and some investment can mean profit. At least till I send him the shop bill.

She runs good and is a blast. Got some new kiddy gear for sale to. Its in Longview WA.

Bummer he is not as interested in it now that it is done.
But like you say he still learned something from the whole thing.
Maybe it'll take a while to sell and in the meantime he will get the itch to ride and take the for sale sign off.

A motorcycle is way better than the newest i-box-station any day. And he might realize that.

Very cool though aside from the lack of riding interest. I remember my first bike was a mini bike that we stuffed a 9hp engine in. Had a blast on it growing up. Even when I got too big for it and my knees were int he way of the handlebars....
