^^^these things are customarily pot luck to a big degree,,burn any kind of roadkill and call it barbeque and the Oregonoes will be just fine.

If you need to cater fag berry salads , bunghole hotdogs, and Kweerboysoy burgers (organic, of course) for yer "other" out of state visitors, then we can hook them up with the local native tribes to harvest a feast of camas lillies and snail grass, with some mud mussels stirred in.
If these fuggers expect to ride up here and be pampered, then they'll have to deal with the paintjob they receive upon exposure of being,,well,, just exactly what they are!

"Oh!,,it's so bad here, the economy is wrecked, and the gangs are so out of hand,,smog is unbearable,,water is scarce,,all our politicians are crooked,,and we can't raise a hand to fix it,",,
(not restricted to queerlifornians)

"we should just move to Oregon"

how about a nice mushroom soup?

I was fortunate enough to have DaFoole up on the farm this past week, which gave us plenty of time to hash out some details.

From what I was able to translate from Peterman's post, he's somewhat on the right page. This is not a catered event, although there will be some grub of some sort on one or two of the days. Nothing fancy, no buffet, but more of a large steaming pot of "Something" over rice and beans kind of ordeal. We will be able to supply some cookware, a cook top, two burner camp stove, and two grills, as well as whatever gets hacked and incinerated over the camp fire. There will be coolers with ice as well. Disposable utencils and whathaveyou. Keep in mind that the nearest anything for a supply run is, at a minimum, 16 miles away. This means bring what you can, or anticipate making several runs. I've got my car here, so I don't mind making a run for some bulk booze orders. The more you share, the more fun everyone will have.

Some unfortunate news is, however, that the dynamic nature of both the environment and ownership means that any loops I have been trying to assemble over the past few months have been chopped. Landslides, blocked roads, new ownerships, and gates with fresh paint have essentially killed off the one big loop I had been trying to dial in. That doesn't mean that there is no riding, far from it (for reals), it just means it'll be a bit more of an adventure. I can point you in the right direction and make some recommendations, but it's a crapshoot as to whether or not you'll be able to get there via any known route. On the plus side, I have found my best rides as a direct result of getting lost and detoured, so it'll be a blast as long as the county doesn't get burned to a crisp before then.

This really only leaves one question remaining: What were the contents of this infamous cookie that Hobbes ingested that left a lasting impression on this hardass community.

Is the road from Ten Mile (somethin' or other about a wagon) still passable for a determined desert rat with a two-wheeled tractor?
