India in July

I'm going to Varanasi for work for a week in July then doing two weeks from the 12th travelling on an enfield. anyone done similar trips, I really want to do some offroading, as much as possible. Any advice on people I should contact, things I should see, trails I should ride?

I would head to the hills, it is a good time to be travelling in Ladakh, a friend of mine is leading a tour there now.
If it's in the Touratech catalogue then you don't need it

I would head straight north/ne, even into Nepal which is normally an easy crossing. Varanasi will be very hot in July, and going north will get you into higher, cooler elevations pretty quickly. And probably more fun rides as you head north into the mountains.

Ladakh is a dream ride, but from Varanasi, Leh is 2500km, and the last 500km of that ride can take three days. Kathmandu is 500.

Sounds like a blast!
