Pedrosa owns most of the records for this circuit, so he is the man to beat. Protestations notwithstanding, Marquez pitched it trying to keep up. Rossi was lucky to make second row, but is in a good position to fight. Nice effort from Dovi. Cal who?

The makings of a great dry race, but its going to be slightly wet. Any one of the top 7 could podium.

Since Rossi charged from 10th to 3rd at Mugello, that makes seven places he made up.

From fifth, he should be just fine

gonna be a great race.

As he was coming up through the field in Mugello, my GF was singing "Anything you can do I can do better" referring to MM in the previous race.

Bugger me if The Kid doesn't look stylish crashing even....

Either Bautista has a different electronics package to the Repsol boys, or his team is way behind on setting it up to work. Another nasty high side and nearly a couple more in the FP's. Meanwhile in a couple of the ultra slowmos you could easy see Pedro almost completely relying on TC to keep momentum.

Ya gotta get tired of landing on your head like that...

He does have different suspension (Showa) and brakes (Nissin).

I have just finished watching the final qualifying session after another night shift.

Marquez admits he made a mistake, should have written that lap off.

Quote....“Today I made the first mistake of the season, so I need to apologise to the team because it was my fault. The strategy we had set out was coming together perfectly, but when riding with the last tyre I braked too late,” said Marquez.

“I knew it was my last attempt, so I tried to go into the corner anyway. That was not the best choice; I should have written off the lap, but these things happen when you are riding at home; you always try to give a little bit extra.

“We know for tomorrow that there is no more room for improvement on that corner and that we have a good set-up with which to fight for the win.”

Bautista looked like he hit the ground HARD!!! Hope he his OK!

Could be a very good race tomorrow. MM rarely makes the same mistake twice. Can't wait!!!

Crutchlow "0 confidence in the bike" "gets worse every time I ride it"

"last year's bike better" Isnt that about what the beginning of the end of Valentino's Ducati ride sounded like?

Ducati must pay well.

Although Dovi gets on with the bike nicely.

For all we know Dall'Igna has told him to criticize the bike to keep the pressure on the Eye-ties.

More Lucy, now!
