Had a tetanus shot yesterday, the body is reacting a bit today. Quite pleased I decided not to do the cyclocross race. Would have damn near killed me.

Did a bit of an adventure ride today. Ended up on Rosedale Rd by mistake, two-up on the VFR Was a tad slippery in places, the front end had one good waggle through a few bike lengths of deep mud, but otherwise all good.

Bloody cold though!

I nearly came through there on Sat. Tom was with me on the brick, so I thought it best not to, besides ... the 800's looking real sharp after a sever cleaning
Should do a roadie at some stage ?

Or Sunday Creek, Jacobs Ladder, Rosedale, Old Coach Rd...

Take tarseal on Korere Tophouse Rd, right turn into Blue Glen Rd, hook up onto Kings Ridge, follow it all way back to bottom of the hill, back on seal for 4 km, right into Smiths Rd, Reays Hill rd, cut through onto Spooner Tops and then Highway 6 home from Belgrove.
Way more fun, but you'll need a good map or GPS to navigate your way through that lot. Go on, you know you want to.

Very private, with big locked forestry gates that you can't lift a bike over. And grumpy locals.
Feel free to have a nosey up Christian Creek Rd though, you can poke your way down to Dart River Rd, but that's where you'll find restricted access

Yep, one of them "exclusive gated communities", gotta keep the riff-raff out somehow.
Trouble is, it's a long way in there via Christian Creek only to discover it's all closed up. Whangapeka end, not so bad, cos it's enroute to Rolling Junction anyway which is worth the ride on it's own.

OOhh I want to too So many choices... Do you need access permissions or are the forestry roads open?
