WTH, I've wanted to see the Horseshoe Curve anyway, this would be a good opportunity. It also gave me a chance to try out my new rain jacket at highway speeds; I stayed nice and dry, so I've got that going for me.

I found some new roads up through Virginia/West Virginia that look like this;

It was a struggle being out there by myself on those narrow, paved roads but I soldiered on. I have a small battle with SmugMug going on and I need to figure out the order of and upload some more of the pics I took.

See you this evening.

hmmm.....I thought you are working late tonight.....

I'm running a little behind myself.

I finally figured out SmugMug sprinkled the pictures I uploaded all throughout a gallery with over 800 images in it, so I've been sorting all that out. Should get a few more pics up today sometime.

Things are all mixed up and I don't remember where a lot of my photos were from so I'll just bomb you with the best of them and call it good.

Seems like I saw a few of these iron bridges, they can be interesting.

No through traffic? OK by me. I didn't see the possible fishing line when I was stopped there.

I have wanted to see the Horseshoe Curve for years, so on the way out of Altoona Friday morning I went to check it out. I got there a little after 0800. Naturally it was closed and didn't open until 0900. Then a train came through, just to complete my experience. Here it is from the parking lot.

On the plus side, the road down from the west side is fantastic.

There's some long views in Pennsylvania if you get high enough. There were times that I rode through trees for long enough that it was a relief to come out into a big, empty field.

Thanks, George! BYOB has gotten too big, I think. Everyone is spread too thin.
