Thanks to the mavtv tip. I just learned my cable company has it.

The old speed channel was the best ever. Mav looks to be the modern version of it.

While i might not agree with everything dorna does, we do need help, ama/dmg is a failure, simple as that. Our riders deserve a world class series, not glorified club racing.

DORNA doesn't seem to have many paid seats in their World Superbike series, and the grids are shrinking pretty fast there too. Not sure they can do any better. On the other hand, if they can recruit factory participation, maybe they could do a lot better.

I guess now I know what the term "selected events" meant in the AMA Pro Racing press release about FansChoice.TV. There may not be any coverage from Laguna Seca. &$%@!

This has turned into a really depressing thread-- amazing how quickly bad management of a series can make it pretty much irrelevant.

exactly! I used to be a HUGE fan of ama roadracing, went to Daytona, laconia, and mid-ohio starting in the late 80's, and never missed a year till the DMG BS started
Now? I don't even know when and where they race, the series sucks, and that's the nicest thing I have to say about it.

I went to Daytona every year from 1977 until a couple of years after DMG took over. They started changing the rules, schedules, and classes. I decided to take my vacation and money out West and ride. I went to Barbers for one day this year. I used to go for three. Two real races is just not worth it to me. And since it's not on TV , I don't even keep up anymore.

I miss Freddie and Kenny and Eddie and Wes and Bubba.

Still root for Nicky. Seems like the last of the breed.

I went to WSBK at Laguna and stayed for half of the AMA Superbike race. I ended up leaving as it was just like watching a track day with 15 bikes taking laps. Really dismal. I saw them last year at Road America and remember it being much better. It's a shame to see it heading the way it is.

Yeah, not sure what happened to that coverage!
I've been yawning my way through AMA Pro Racing YouTube channel coverage this year. One race worth watching so far...Mid-Ohio Race 2 photo finish.

Coverage
