Good day at Hampton Downs, HMCC run a very slick event.
Conditions were variable, wet track with worms on it ( same worms that pulled Trustme off)

Adrian and I sat around drinking tea, reading the paper...

The Brit bike guys just love spannering....note main tool by back wheel

Trustme" I can't find second"
We had a look around the place and we could not find it either
Adrian managed a 1m20 which is the fastest time I have seen at HD on a airhead.
Well known yachtsman was out there on his Suzuki and was not quite as fast as Adrian.
I got past a CB 900 in the pre 89 so that was cool.
Had a chat with fellow BMW owner Oscar, he's not as grumpy in real life

And some pics from Trustme's resident Photographer

Man those 350 Hondas can go.

" all byyyy my self.....Hondas left me..
all by myself..."

the Bavarian Tractors will be out for the Barry Sheene over labour weekend, so put on you slippers and ledderhosen and come along.
If Sidecar Bob has welded the two halves of his R90 back together following his " off" at Taupo there will be 3.

Following weekend the plan is Manfeild.Nov 7 and 8.

If the back and legs are still working hope to do the Kaipara weekend too....

Watched a programme called george clarks amazing spaces a week or so ago. it had this bus built by a tard racer for trackside accomodation. It was when started a real mess however he got it rebuilt to this. Bloody amazing.
Of course the brit riders would prob prefer something more canvas

See you folks at HD for the Barry Sheene.

Lindsay Pinker and I are taking my 2 CB1100Fs there; doing the Burt Munro, the Classic festival in Feb, and possibly the Barry Sheene in Aus next year, but that'll be the old grey guys for the season.

Here's Mr Pinker looking pensive:

I'm looking to catch up with Sidecar Bob as well; Steve and I go back to the 1980s, when he was but a kid....

Barry Sheene this weekend at Hampton Downs.
Prep: charge battery, check tyre pressures.

Should be good, lots of Aussies coming over and the theme is Women riders.

BMW Question?
what years have BMW won a TT race?

1939 (Meier), 2014 (Dunlop), and I seem to recall Helmut Dahne won a Production TT on an R90S in the 1970s.

Yes, latest Classic Racer goes on about BMW saying it was 75 years between TT wins, however a F650 won 3 and BMW forgot about them.....
interesting read, sad ending.
Looks like they forgot Helmuts one too
His bike is pretty cool
