Think I passed some of you guys comming home on Brookton Hwy around 2 ?

I finally got a break in the renovations, even squeesed in a 1 year olds birthday party before I got to give the 990 a run.

Had to try out the new Heidy K60 rear tyre out on gravel. Hooked up better than I thought it would. Tracks were in good nik Considering the rain weve had.

Fark I love the 990. If I had to sell one bike, it would be a murderous decision.

Where did you get the K60 from and how much?
I think I'm going to give one a run.

Thinking of going Ashendon Rd, Dale Rd, Qualen Rd to Beverley tomorrow.
Am I in for anything particularly slippery or clench-inducing, or just damp gravel?
GS or DR is the real question.

I did Ashendon Rd and was fine. One slightly slippery spot Mundairing end.

I get all my tyres from Mario at Thunderbikes. I dont care if he is the cheapest or not. He has been fitting my tyres for ages. I could not even tell you the price. I dont even look at the invoice.
This K60 is the 150 with the solid centre tread. In fact he mounted the first one and I took it back after 2 days. It would not seat properly and induced a wobble.
He checked it out and orderd a new one no questions. New one fitted up no worries.
So if you get one, check how it lines up with the rim. THe rubber line just off the rim should be an even gap all the way around.

there is a couple of deepish puddles along the Qualen Rd fenceline, if you keep to the right you'll be okay.

Went up through there a couple of weeks ago on the way to Jennacubbine, there was plenty of water along there.

Next time we head out, jump on the WR a for a bit and see how you like it.
I tell you, not as torquey as the old tractor but alot of fun. Oh, a comfier seat is definitely on the cards

Thanks for the day out guys, was a great day and was good catching up with ya's. The single track was alot of fun (even though I'm not fast, it was hell fun on a light bike)

As for whoever was playing sweep, being behind you can certainly tell that I need to improve my skills but that's what getting out there is all about.
Loving it and can't wait to get out there more and improve on those limited skills I have.

might have to do some work and build your own, get a 14 and get started, a bit at a time, I was told about a 14 for sale, front end from Norm, and get Bruce or someone else to make your chassis and get a boat like mine made up, all up probabley 15k. Or get a sub frame for the Wee Strom from America and build it on that.
