race a un-plated bike?

Just bought an WR450F. Do i need to get it plated to participate in rallies?
There is a bit of hassle to get it road legal, but i could go through the national motorsport foundation in my country and get "black enduro plates" which gives me access to ride the bike on the road between events or in events.
This is a rule in Norway though, i dont know how it would be in the rest of europe... ?

You need a registred bike, although it is enough with the Norwegian "black plate". We have a similar system in Sweden and I have raced Tuareg three times with an "enduro registred" bike

In the USA you need as registered, insured bike. When I took my bike to Australia I had a plate but never had to prove that the bike was actually registered....that I can remember
