There are also a couple of spare bunks at my place 30 min down hwy 30 from Kawerau. We will most likely go home to scrub up then take the car into the cossie club to meet the crew for dinner.

Cheers
Clint

It's getting serious .......
Ferry booked, and a room at Tarawera lodge. There's a couple of spare beds in the room so if someone wants them give them a call and mention my name. Real name, not my username here

Cool. Time starting to roll around. Looking forward to it. Got the bike out on the weekend for a ride for the first time in months. Needs a bit of TLC which it will get this week. Colin and I need to go to Pureora soon for a little "look see"

Import NZ Open GPS projects into Basecamp & then onto the GPS. Then select the NZ Open GPS Projects as the mapset on Basecamp & the GPS.

And a good question it is too

Mapset is the maps loaded onto your GPS. As you have a 62s you can only have one set of maps loaded at a time (it gets more tricky on the flash fullas thingys as they can have more than one layer, and we aint talking chickens ) As Boxer has pointed out follow his link and download the free maps, they will automatically install into BaseCamp when you open them.
Along the top of BaseCamp you will see a number of Tabs, go to the one called maps, click on it and it will tell you what mapsets you have. Click on Free Open GPS NZ Auto Routing. This will ensure you are running the right maps in that system. Go to the Edit Tab and click on options, set your activity profile to Motorcycling and your routing options to "shorter distance" plus switch of all avoidances.
You will need to install the NZOpenGPS mapset into your Garmin, I would suggest you get another Micro sd card for this as with the 62s it will overwrite the current maps you have. If you want to keep them just swap the sd cards and store in a rurrly safe place.
Excited yet? there is more but that will keep ya busy for a while

Cheers, I had got to this point last night and realised that I needed a bigger sd card, then fell asleep on the couch.

It came with a 4gb card. Had a big map package with it though.

Will give it another go this week when Mrs Woodman is at work. She don't like repeated use of the F word.

I think I shall put my hat (helmet) in the ring for this one.
Last year I managed a home-to-cape which does not quite have the same ring to it.
I will have to find some unpractical tire to run again.
