better way to help you n others...

[QUOTE=hipnotik;24670526]Hi Woody,

Hi Woody,

Can you fix this? see pics in post #3065
What is the $$$ charge and work turnaround?
Also, if I were to remove the tire but leave the brake discs on, what range of shipping charges will I incur? ]

LOL..just sent ya a PM to post your pics n ??? to this thread..that way everyone with similar problems can learn abit...

quick answer :
1,,straightening = $150-200 need tire off for better estimate...we get em +/- .010-.015''

2,,S&H circa $35 without tire $10-15 extra with tire

3,,tire on provides most protection in transit

4,, turnaround = circa one week +/- depending on stuff like getting swamped ie Sturgis drop ins

Hi Woody,
I am looking forward to tubeless options for front wheel of DR650.
As of now I ve got mixed reviews on sealing of front stock rim, and yeah currently am using stock 21' rim upfornt.
If 21' tubeless is not advisable I can consider 19' tubeless rim.
If you could provide suggestions/rough estimate for the above that will be great.
Thanks

for starters ,,once again,,,we only seal rims with a safety bead...

in 21'' there's only one allo rim available to my knowledge..it's a Sun 2.15 dimplesless rim....we have sealed them with success.AND have learned they simply do not stand up to hard ponding off road...hence the first rock ya hit will probably put a ding in your rim and POOOF...instant flat !!!!

that being said,,,your notion of using the the 19 brings more options into play...our preference is the 2.5x19 excel,,,,light /strong/with safety bead .Sorry their are no 1.85/2.15 safety beaded rims out their...period

plenty of tires available for that rim size in all configurations....

silver Excel, heavy duty ss spokes ,superlace n true circa $485 sealing parts n labor =$99

hope that helps

woody

PS sorry for slow reply,,it's Sturgis time and the shop got slammed

Seems this place do have a 2.15 21 inch rim with safety bead?

http://www.bartubeless.it/en/price/f...im-215x21-hump

Italian company have NOT tried their product but at least there seems to be and option.

Probably very expensive by the time you have it delivered to the US tho.

At 225 Euros that's about 300 dollars at the current exchange rate minus at least 20% VAT because its leaving the EU. Italian VAT could be as high as 21 or 22% by now.

Spoke size for the F8GS RAD hubs?

Hi.

Just wondering if the RAD hubs for the F8GS uses the same spokes as the stock F8GS hubs?

If so, would you happen to have the specs for the rear spokes needed with a 18" rim?

Thanks

Hi Woody/Chris,

Sent you guys an email a couple weeks ago with a service request and a few questions, then a follow up email last week. Haven't heard from you guys since. I'm the one asking about having the Excels shipped from England to you.

Let me know, thanks.
