Back in Town.

Camping/fishing road trip is done. Back to planning bike trip now.

My allotted time for this ride is 8 days (Vancouver to Vancouver), Sept 3 ~ 10, plus a travel day home from Vancouver (Sept 11). Others may vary. How do you fit in?

So far, we have a day to get from Vancouver to Goldbridge, 2 days & 3 nights camping & riding there, maybe lakeshore fishing for those interested.

Some have suggested the Yalakom circle route as a side leg. Passing through Lillooet & riding up to Barkerville via the east or west side of the Fraser River. The Yalakom loop is not for me personally (done enough of it already).

Returning via Likely, Horsefly, Spokin Lake, Canim Lake, 100 Mile House, & ? Splitting there to go home east or west? I would like to do the east side of the Fraser southbound, Williams Lake to Lillooet.

Any other input ?

Please, add me too!
I've already booked my vacation for that trip to Barkerville - do not want to loose another opportunity for a ride.

I'm going to miss out on this. I'm racing in the last supermoto race of the season at Western Speedway in Langford on the 9th and then leaving on the 10th for South Dakota and points southeast of there. Have fun!

September 3 is not far away. Here kitty, kitty.

Maybe it is just me, but have this feeling that "... there are many paths to tread", but no definitive plan(s).

I guess it is OK to "wing-it" a bit, but we should a least have a definitive meeting day and meeting point for everyone to head towards, as I sense there may be people traveling from both east and west of the coast range for this.

I have to be in Kamloops on the 8th, so I am trying to do some planning .........................so I will get permission to attend (my mom asks lots of questions and she knows when I am fibbing).

So you think you want a plan ... Meeting sites are:

Coffee for Vancouver sourced riders at Sept 3rd 11:00 at Galileo Cafe in Britannia,
http://www.seatoskygondola.com/blog/...ocal-favourite

or,

Eastern riders can join us at Lunch Sept 3rd 13:00 at Mileone Eating House in Pemberton, http://www.tourismpembertonbc.com/pe...-eating-house/

At Pemberton, the second stop, we will decide which route to take to Goldbridge (Hurley Pass or Seton Highline road) based on weather & road conditions. Hotellers can try the Goldbrdge Hotel at (250) 238-2543 of the Bralorne Mines Hotel (250) 238-0155. Luxury accommodations at the Tyax Mountain resort http://www.tyax.com/accommodation/

Arriving in Goldbridge, there are 3 campsites, 1 BC Hydro, 1 BC Forestry, both free, both on the water & both minimalist. The 3rd site is at Tyax Mountain resort, a pay site with full amenities including a hot tub on the lake.

Some expect to cook at the sites, I expect a blend of pub & camp grub. Your choice. I am planning on exploring the ends of many roads plus a chance at fishing. There is no "organized route", just some info on an interesting area & a slap on the back ... go at it boys!

Bridge River info at:

http://www.ourbc.com/travel_bc/bc_ci...n/bralorne.htm

http://www.ourbc.com/travel_bc/bc_ci...ge%20river.htm

http://www.hellobc.com/visitorcentre...nfo-booth.aspx

Needing to be home Sept 9, I may be able to get up as far as Williams Lake before turning south, others would want to carry onto Barkerville.

Gary of http://www.ourbc.com will be with us. he is a goldmine of info that you can get further info from while together on the road.

My preference after leaving Bridge River would be to stay on the left side of the Fraser River to Gang Ranch & Farwell Canyon, stopping in Williams Lake for grub & gas before riding south on the Fraser east side through Dog Creek to Pavilion & Lillooet. Others may vary.

That sound good - A target to start things off works.

If there are any travelers from the east, heading west seeking Lunch on Sept 3rd 13:00 at Mileone Eating House in Pemberton - pipe up and we may be able to meet along the way somewhere.

Hacks most welcome! As far as I see it, the worst to expect would be washboard & maybe some fallen rock (generally less than soccer ball size) to push aside on some of the more adventurous side legs.

Hi, I'm located at about 25 min. drive to terminal, so we can start duo ride from there - perhaps, other locals can join?
