I was in Minnaki a few weeks ago and there were no services, even the restaurant / bar (Rossies) was closed.

Afternoon ride

Got in a nice ride this afternoon with Stubblejumper (Charlie) out west along the river... showed him some of my fave country roads & spots. What's up with this MB/Wpg thread... seems always the same few people posting up. Would be nice to see others sharing riding pics, hooking up for group rides, etc.

St Francois Xavier... we can say we went to church today :^)

I love how you can lay on pointy knife-like stones, and have a great night's sleep!

I gave up on the therma-rests and bought an REI Incamp sleeping pad. Air filled with the pump built into the pillow. At $140.00, not cheap but folds down smaller than a the conventional pad. (25" X 75")

Give up on the REI - Thermarest type stuff and just let the wife pay for the motel/hotel...

My Birthday Gift To Me

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofCmVsFhC1c

Thought I would give myself a slow relaxing ride in the country to enjoy nature last weekend to celebrate my birthday.

By the way, does anyone have an old full face helmet that they don't use anymore? Mirror face shield preferred but I can't be picky. My daughter needs an old helmet she can paint up for a comicon thing so I told her I would see in anyone in adventure rider land had one they could get rid of.

Let me know. It would make her day.

Kyle

I would have had one about a year ago after the deer incident, but I took a jigsaw to it, just to see how they're made. I even had a perfect gold mirror shield.

Great video! Looks fast from that perspective. Kyle, where was that taken?

I recently got a basic GoPro, tried it mounted on the handlebars with a Ram ball mount adaptor - pic quality was poor (too much vibration)... tonight Mrs GWN and I went out for an evening ride and I used the camera helmet mounted... on the side, so the view needs to be rotated 90 degrees. Can't bloody figure out how to do it with the video editing software that I have! What is an easy way to do this? Video quality tonight was superb with the camera helmet mounted. Edit - never mind, eventually figured it out (how to rotate the vid & save)... PITA.

I saw that, would be a good project. Thanks sharing.
Got to reduce inventory before I can take anymore projects on.
