Las Vegas Ride Mormon Wells 8-17-14

I would like to get the GS out and put a few miles under her belt...she has been neglected for a year now. So her is the plan, meet at the Albertsons gas station farm / durango, stands up 8:30 a.m.

Run up to Corn Creek Ranger Station then Mormon Wells Road all the way over to the other side. Then hit the 93 to the Loves gas station for lunch and back in to Vegas.

This will be an all bike size ride....I will be on my 1200.

Wilderness Area

I would check with the Fish & Game folks for the Wilderness area you are going through. My group (16) got busted because we went through a "marked closed" area because of road wash outs. We probably should have turned around, but there was already some tracks that had gone through, and the washouts were easily negotiated. The ranger was waiting for us at Highway 93 said we were caught on camera? Gave us a big talking too once everyone arrived, he took photos of our drivers license's and our license plates and sent us on our way with a warning. Three weeks later tickets were delivered to our mailbox's.

How long ago was that, and were you on Mormon wells road or Alamo road? Alamo rd has been closed for years. Mormon wells is currently open.
