Never made it to a HU Meeting. This one looks very tempting.

This is just about in my back yard, so my wife and I may attend. We haven't done world wide travelling on the bikes, but it sure sounds interesting.

I see Ben Slavin is speaking. We met him last year. Super nice guy, and a really good cook as well. My wife bought his girlfriend's dual sport, so maybe he'd be interested to see what she's done with it.

Im in, ill be camping all 3 days. Really looking forward to meeting Alex Chacon Im a big fan of his Motorcycle Diaries on YT.

Im also hanging a sign on my Vstrom asking if anyone is going to Baja in Feb/Mar '15, if so email me as Id like to join them. I rode Los Angeles to Alaska alone ( see sig video) no problem, but Im more worried about Mexico.

It moves around, it's been elsewhere, too.

It was due to a variety of reasons. As mentioned by slugdad, one issue was the fact that a few of the neighbors simply don't like motorcycles and were very outspoken (getting to the site required riding through their neighborhood). But in addition, the costs were high, the facilities for presentations were limited given the number of attendees, and the camping space was adequate but not ideal. Grant and Susan and the co-organizers worked very hard to make Cambria a success for 3 years, but the new site in Mariposa looks as though it will be great. It will certainly be a better fit if the event keeps growing. And there are such awesome riding opportunities nearby!

If you do go, be sure to say howdy. There's a good chance I'll be at least one of the people you see in registration ... and I'll likely be one of very few people riding a sportbike. Look for a red CBR600 with ADV patch on the saddlebags. :)

Phoenix area attendees...?

Is anyone from AZ or SoCal planning on attending this event? Wouldn't mind pairing up for some of the trip with another ADVer

I have a campsite for all three nights. Need to get my tires changed on my 690, but I'll be there. I hope to leave Wednesday evening or night. Either before or after traffic....
