Road first half of Barlow on Sunday before taking a digger and bending my handle bars (alls well). Ditched Barlow and road north on Bonnie Meadows to Bennett Pass back to 35. Camped in Alpline Campground just below Timberline Lodge. Their clam chowder is incredible and plenty of beer on tap. Alpine camp was almost empty. Love late summer rides!

Good shot CineRider. I always want to get a group shot going through that rock cut right around there, but haven't been able to stop everyone...they're all having too much fun to slow down.

Didn't you have some overhead teepee pole hauling rig before RM? What bike you hauling those on.

You are thinking of his surfboard rack.

Don't you just hate it when stuff like this happens!? A bunch of miles on this road and then in the middle of nowhere, this! If they are really going to be that cheap and only use one gate halfway between point "A" & "B" and want to f*** with people they should put a "Road Closed" sign on both sides!

Don't worry, we did the right thing and went around the gate to get on the right side where the road was open! Would never want to be on a "Closed Road"!

I've ran into that several times. Roaming around all day and decide to head out to a main road only to find a closed gate right at the entrance......
No indication from the other end that the road I was on was currently closed.

Annoying to say the least. Especially when it happens to a be 4 wheeled day and I have to backtrack to find a way back out (wishing it was a two wheeled day so I could just sneak out). Good thing I always have an extra 5 gallons hanging off the rear rack for just such occasions.
