From Albuquerque or Santa Fe, NM to Puerto Vallarta
I have moved to Puerto Vallarta and have been here about three months or so. In September I am going to go back up to NM to pick up my R1200GS Adventure and ride it to PV.
I have made this trip a few times before, but if someone is interested in joining me for the run to PV they are more than welcome. This time I plan on a fast trip with stops in Chiuhahua, Durango, Mazatlan and PV. Best part of the trip will be the Durango to Mazatlan ride across the "Spine of the Devil". The USA to Chihuahua part is pretty much going to be toll roads.
If somone is interested but wants to see some other places I am happy to oblige up to a point since I want to get to PV in a reasonable time frame and then set up for the rally in Cancun in October. Of course on the return trip you would be on your own and can go back anyway you want. I could give some advice since I have put in quite a few miles driving around Mexico by bike.
By the way, I don't do camping, riding at nights or staying in dumps. But I drink good beer (Negra Modelo, Bohemia) and eat very well.
