Thanks to everyone who has offered the use of their tools!

I have edited the second post on page 1 with a list of the available tools. If anybody has anything they'd like added (or deleted) from that list post here or send me a PM anytime!

Laugh

I have some "wentworth" end wrenches and sockets that I would donate to the cause.
If anyone would need them??

Corky

I have been asked to add a little info to this post describing the donated tools.
Many British (UK) motorcycles use "Wentworth" as opposed to metric or SAE.
Don't know if this is still the case.
I purchased these tools to work on a Velocette that I was racing in the desert at the time. 1963!!!
I have sent these tools to Zen Slug for him to dispurse as needed.
Have fun,

Corky

used tires

Used tires make an excellent camp fire.

Just make sure your good clothes are far away. The soot gets everywhere.

I have the doohickey wrench I could send around. Based in Casper, WY.

Even the socket and breaker bar if needed.

Thumb Looks like this is taking off!

Thank you to everybody who has donated tools so far. I will keep the TooL PooL LisT updated continuously as people post here.

If I got something wrong in the listing for your tool, please send a PM

I also posted the "Rules" there, but they're still open to debate. If you would like to comment on one of the rules please post here.

Thanks again!!!

P.S. If you would like to donate, please specify the category you'd like your tool(s) to be placed in (see below).

Jake,

I assume the 4 line carb balance tool is for on-site use, lemme know if I got anything wrong. Gonna update the tools list on page 1 to include it now. I'll direct borrowers to your original post, so if you want to add any details later just edit that post.

It can be transported, it is small and ealisy moved, but it is filled with Mercury, so people get a little bitchy when you try to ship these things...

I might be buying some valve reaming tools and some other related items. I messed up the camshaft (I think) On my DR and while I am in there I am going to change out my valves springs and seals. The way I figure it the bike will be open so...Why not?

I may be buying other tools. I will share if others need them.

I don't have them yet. when I do I will post again.

Question

So far only 1 person has requested to use any of the "PooL OwneD" tools...

Any ideas about how we can get the word out better,
or what might be scaring people away?

I don't feel bad... just wonding if it's the $10 membership fee (or something else) that is scaring people away. Somebody must need a KLR doohickey wrench!

Yeah, I prolly should do that.... didn't want to muck up the other forums with cross-posting, but maybe it is necessary

Wonder what the mod's think about that?
