Dual sporting in Illinois

Hello all,

I currently own a ST1300 and a CBR1100XX but lately I've been dreaming of owning a dual sport and getting lost.

Question is, until I migrate out West, is there really an off roading to be done here in Northern Illinois / Southern Wisconsin?

It seems that land owners in general are too worried about the wrath of lawyers to allow anyone to even ride across their property, and dirt roads seem just about non-existant.

Any opinions?
