Okay, Ryan A, if you tell me you can cook Kalbi Ribs, I'll be very impressed! Sorry, however, but you can keep the SPAM.

However, I did like a little SPAM with my LOCO MOCO from time to time.

longhorn is always decent. decent tunes inthe juke. Edison inn has shuffle board, and a better beer garden, horseshoes too.

the corner tav near by on allen road is a dump, but they have beer. smoky as hell last I was there.

the beer shrine north of acme has great brew as well as pizza,

cant remember the name, but the joint on highway 9 remodeled, its just east of scooter (RIP Scooter) stuff off lake whatcom blvd, next to the mushroom farm. havent been in since the redo, the old place felt like the back end was going to drop off.

bobs off exit 232 has the best scenery

laconner, go to the bar on the water, the brewery does tiny wine pours, although good ale. a bud from school started it, then sold out.

what other honda shop has a bar? well....steel dreams ( sounds like some porno?) in burlington. along with pimp choppers.

conway tav ain't bad either, decent food, brew and service.

when at walker valley, the only choice is big lake Bar, fun when the owner plays in his band on weekends, they used to have a crab night all you can eat.

the farm house on hwy 20 has a bar, marilee rush is playing there the end of the month, quite a switch from having a number #1 record in '68. her and Lydia pence, two awesome powerful singers.

if your in edmonds, go south to richmond beach, jims cabin. though I try to avoid going south, anything past arlington is too many people for me.

the tudor inn just over the border at the truck crossing used to be pretty good

Thumb Engles "MAG" March 29th

Ok here we go:
Thursday, March 29th @ Engles Pub in downtown Edmonds.
I will be there at 4:30 PM getting this shindig started! If you can't make it until later no big deal there will be some of us there untill at least 9:00 PM
Parking is right in front of the Pub, The yellow zone is OK too. I'll have a fairly large spot held should handle 20 bikes ( or 17 bikes and Mr. Cob with his flying chair ) and there is always spots across and up and down the street on the same block! Never a big deal I've seen 50 plus bikes there many times.
There will be BBQ sandwhichs avaiable for a good price and there are pizzas and a few other options too. Can do tacos if that sounds good????? let me know.
Starbucks is at the corner. I'll have a pot of Drip coffee brewing at the Pub!
I do not have a GPS so if someone could post the Lat & long that would be great.
Address is;
113 5th Ave. S. Edmonds, WA 98020
425-778-2900
1/2 block south of the fountain!
Anyone coming from South and or West just up from the Kingston/Edmonds ferry dock about 3 blocks East.
If anyone has some good ADV rides on DVD's we can plug them in on the big screen!

Man...I hoping this was a thread for a North end gathering for like minded ADV riders.

Great idea but in my opinion Edmonds, Lynnwood, Seattle are all the big city and not a very inviting ride for those of us further North.

Maybe we should have a Far North meeting spot such as Edison as others have suggested. The riding up here sure beats the city and all the cagers on cell phones. Can you be on dirt in 5 minutes from Edmonds? Good luck!

For what it's worth on Thursday nights there are usually a few bikes at the Rock Fish Grill in Anacortes.

Anacortes would be a good one too! Make it happen!!
Why not find your way down Whidbey and land in Mukilteo, follow the water down to Edmonds and make a decent ride of it. This is all about a start to getting us all togeather. That way we can meet and set something up for your neck of the woods/trails!
Maybe setup big bon fire ride in some cool spot off road you have tucked away!!

lat/long

I will be in Edmonds today and will take note of the lat/long. It was nice meeting everyone at Redhook on Friday. Chainlink and I left the place, packed our bags and make for a quick camp-out on Camano island.

Sorry to say I will not be able to make the next meeting, I will be in Mexico scouting a "Moto-Loco" trip for November (it's a bitch but someone has to do it).

I suggest that one of the future meetings everyone bring 5-10 photos on a disk or jumpdrive. I will bring a laptop and projector, load photos and we can have a running slide show!

ENGELS HAS RED STRIP BEER!

Here's the GPS data for Engle's Pub: N47 48.626 W122 22.646. Copy & paste into Mapsource and away you go! I also attached the GPX, which is probably easier!

See you there next Thursday!

Thanks, Springs, for putting together what I know will be a great shindig!

Yeeeehaw!

Hey rapidrider:

Springs is right! No one has a monopoly on picking spots whatsoever; we're all just trying to promote ADV Riding and getting together. So, if you know of a great spot, let's hear about it!!!

The reason I posted the original thread and followed up with North and South sound threads was to facilitate all of us getting together and expanding the ADV Rider community. You know, having a bigger, more visible presence.

Instead of criticizing Spring’s hard work and idea, and it's an awesome idea, by the way, maybe come up with an idea for a place to meet and promote it yourself. We're all in the ADV Rider community together so let's make the effort to have a good time and support each other. Otherwise, what's the point?

I think with the right location and some compelling promotion on your part you'll be successful in motivating Riders to participate in meeting at a location of your choosing! That's what it's all about!

So, let’s hear form you buddy!
