A sad story with a bad ending. People always ask a motorcyclist after an accident: Are you still going to ride motorcycles?

CARLSBAD

A 65-year-old Irvine man was killed in a freak golf cart accident today in San Diego County.

The California Highway Patrol said he was golfing with three friends at the Pala Mesa Golf Resort in Fallbrook when he hit an errant shot.

As he drove off in search of the lost ball, he hit a raised curb, went down a 25 foot embankment, and tumbled over the edge of a 75 foot cliff.

The retired real estate agent was killed instantly when he landed on the road below.
