Around the World with Forrest and Franky
Well at least a start, and with a few side stops and future rides in the planning lets get started with telling the story. Which is of course all true, and if it wasn't you couldn't prove it any ways.
Some sentences finish with the next picture so keep on reading to make sense of our journey exploring like our fore fathers.
My first try solo.
This is one of my campsites. Needless to say I didnt make it much farther then St George, Ut. This is the Toraweep campsite actually.
My escort out of town, under cover. And me.
A year has gone, new bike and a riding partner and were off. Meet Forrest. And you can see the edge of my bike Frank Wheelbarrow as they say.
Left Logan, Ut. at a real stupid hour bundled up like you wouldnt believe around the third of Jan 2007 made it half frozen to Page, Az. and like I said some stupid hour of the morning, but hey were off and nothing but two cops holding hands in the median gunin one direction and the other gunnin the other way were able to stop us. No warrants (imagine that) and so were back on the road, to who knows where.
I love Arizona hardly no restrictions on where you can go even if its private, half the time you still have access. Anyways here we are sqattin in Arizona down by the border with Nogales. Lets go to Mexico tomorrow.
That it is.
Another box of warm cloths being sent home. This is us out in front of a dive in Nogales. O.K. send the package and then lets do it. Oh yeah we wont need warm cloths again Forrest says. We ended up staying one more day state side for more reasons then one were getting close. Hey man pop a wheelie.
Designated San Carlos. Forrest parents have been coming to this spot for along time he was just here a week ago with his family I talked him into coming back to Logan to ride the whole thing. Hes still mad.
Once again good morning!
Lets find some back roads. Well we better feel up our front gas tanks and our rears just in case. Needless to say that's a lot of weight, we were hating it deep sand, dead end roads. Help!
And help we found. Just go that way (as he points up) Oh well were on vacation. Exploring like our ancestors before us.
Still lost, but neither one of us really seamed to bothered by it we follow the Gps to the beach. Once again good morning.
I'm using the word lost just for dramas sake. Were on the Pacific side of Central America just a couple cliks out side of Guaymas, Mexico. trying to take side roads well that was yesterday we dont know yet but as soon as Forrest finishes puttin on his head band we will make it to Mazatlan around dark.
To wake up for a really early start and to see this Klr with spares front and rear weaving in and out of traffic trying to keep up with Forrest killer pace through grid lock, Not knowing and just thinking it was a local he catches us at a red light seeing with one glance hes going the same direction we decide we need to get gas and ride together.
around the world
"As Jonah used to say, a bike can never have too much gas.... unless it's on fire."
