RomperStrompers Solo Ozzi Outback Adventure

My Solo 5500km trip from Forster on the NSW coast out to Tibbooburra, Camron Cnr, Innaminka, Birdsville, down the Birdsville Track, Flinders Ranges, Silverton, Brokenhill and home to Forster. 3000ks of dirt

Its more of a doco than a trip report, but I've had fun on the trip and fun putting the movie togather. If only UTube didn't have a 10min clip limit, thats why there are a dozen or more clips,

Its how the Long Way Round would have looked with no sponsers, no support crew, no trained actors or camera man and a budget of $350+Fuel

Enjoy

Thanks for sharing!! Nice work on the vid, looking forward to seeing more. At the end of a crappy work day, it gives me inspiration - this is why I work, to finance trips!!!

Only half way thru the vids but i am loving it. I spent 8 years looking after my two kids from when the oldest started school. It got to hard to do after school care etc so i pulled the pin on my job (motorcycle spares) and worked nights in a newspaper pressroom as a casual to finance my motorcycle addiction.. My wife is a journalist and gets 6 weeks holiday a year after working public holidays, nights etc. It was a yearly thing for me to dissapear into the scrub for a couple of weeks and still have 4 weeks in the bank for family stuff. My kids are 17 and 15 now and i am back at work full time although i finish early 2 days a week to take my son to soccer practice and have to be home right on time to take my daughter to dance on Mondays and she also has a part time job on thursdays and my son wants to get a job at KFC etc etc. Enjoy your kids when they are young because they are a handfull when they hit their teenage years. I don't get away as much now but my boss is understanding and gives me time without pay to get in some extra trips without burning my family holidays. Getting back to the videos now. Roll adventure......

Fantastic report RS

Video.......... the new age medium for Adv reporting?

By the way, what tyre pressures did you find best for running loaded on the sandy bits?

Looking forward to the rest of your trip.

We're heading up that way at the end of the month on our way to Winton.

Cheers

I was running F28 R34 on the normal dirt
On the sandy run out of Innaminka on the old road I dropped it to F22 R26, but should have gone a bit lower
