comparison 1150GS and Rt to 1200RS

Been riding mostly the GS and RT. Got to ride Jerome's K1200RS for 700 or 800 miles in Alaska last week. The K bike was impressive in it's accelleration to 140 or so but to 110 or so the RT is fairly impressive. I've ridden the GS distances at 120 but it becomes a wind thing for many of us. The RT will pull away from the GS on aerodynamics alone.

The K was very smooth as is the RT. The K felt heavy but not as top heavy as the taller RT. The GS is the sportier of the bikes. The K's steering is heavy compared with either the RT or the GS. Maybe it's the steering dampner.

The GS has the more precisely and reassuringly neutral handling/steering of the three. The GS is quite a bike. It just needs help in the wind protection department. Double vision from helmet buffeting at speed is disconcerting.
