I have used a K&N on my airhead and dusted an engine travelling out in Central Australia. I now run a Uni Filter on my Airhead.

I purchased an X Challenge last week and part of the accessory kit is a Uni Filter. They are the best, made for Australian dust which is supposed to be very fine.

The K&N will give you better performance but it will not do the job off road.

your choice.

I am not after performance at all. Its more of being able to clean the filter. So far all the responses for the Unifilter seem to be the way to go. Gonna make some phone calls tomorrow during the day

The Uni filter works great! I bought the regular Pod filter and made my own base. I did a MOTOX yesterday and the filter worked perfectly and no more cold morning stumbles

Yep, I use unifilter in our. I like them. They point up a little in the air box as well, which keeps it nice and clean out of the oil overflow storage area. It was a bit to tight in for the nozzle bracket though, so I had to thin the base edge with a dremel a bit.

Yea, yea.... I wanted to be sure it worked before I waved the flag, but so far so good. I'm thinking of doing a dual pod element instead of one for even more air and filtering. I found a velocity stack that might work on top of the round inlet of my filter plate.......
