I found out from the equipment forum there is a company in South Africa that sells this item the GS-911 that acts like the OBD readers you get for cars http://www.hex.co.za/gs911/index.html

I've read a few cases over at UKGSer where when disconnecting the battery to install stuff like a Centech aux panel or heated clothing leads, an error or fault message sometimes pops up if you leave it disconnected for too long and you'd have to go back to the dealer to have that reset. I think the GS911 tool can do the reset for you. Fun electronics eh?
