Eh? Slash 2 spee...eee....eeedd...?

Thats a /2 frame, and the valve covers are of the plain-jane variety, i.e. an R50 or R60, not the "hot" R69.... so, the color is great, the tanks and the rig are cool, but... speed....??

Style points galore.... Love that front brake scoop!

I can't remember what work they're doing, but it's not totally stock inside. I think they're shooting for 120mph.

That's 31mpg(imperial not American)
If I can't get it to do 40+mpg then they will be going. Good thing is they don't pee petrol all over my feet from the float valves
45mpg today. Been all this time to use a tank full of petrol thanks to the good old British weather. Could be worse we were under 4' of water this time last year.

That is the single coolest thing I've seen in 2008.

1983 BMW R100RS Cafe Racer from Melbourne

G'day Folks,

Here's a picture of mine. It's a 1983 BMW R100RS. It has a Ducati SS fairing, Darmah fairing mount, caferace.com seat, Raask reasets, stainless pipes and Tingate clip ons. It's not a show bike and gets ridden a lot. I love it.

I've never managed to get the rear disk working properly with the rearsets. I had to bleed the line with a pump but the lever ratio seems wrong as the brake doesn't bite hard. Any ideas out there?

Cheers for now,

Nestor.

I don't know what your situation is, but i had what sounds like a similar thing once. Had a cam on a lever that pushed a plunger into the master cylinder. Sounds cobby- but; I cut and shaped a piece of aluminium to build up the cam. I may have just used JB Weld to hold it on, or I may have sunk a screw (it's been a while and I'm getting old). Anyway- it worked for another 40K, or so. Seems like it was a spacer or bushing or something. I seem to have a million bits sitting around and I don't know where they came from or what they're for.
