If that was the case I doubt there'd be any mixing and matching. Unfortunately, because Australia used official imperial measurements until the 60s & 70s then switched to metric, while we use metric for most things, it's still common to measure things like tyre pressure here in PSI and a person's height in feet and inches.
I know that the metric measurements for some things like the average consumption can be changed to imperial by the dealer. Your dealer might be able to change the various readouts for you. It can't be done on our end tho.
