Tale of a "No Sale".......it's always something
(Started my own thread so as not to hijack someone else's.)
I guess it was meant for me to keep my SE. 07, 900 miles. I had it sold, all paperwork made out to the new owner, including MSO, loaded on the trailer to go meet him at Muskogee, OK, he had a cashiers check and had left from Ft. Worth to meet me. I hadn't ridden the bike in over a week and it had never been off road or wet. Setting up high on the trailer, I was making 1 last circle checking over things. I see oil at the rear cylinder base gasket. Hell!!!!!!!!!! I call him and tell him about it wanting to be completely honest about everything. We agree that I should have the dealer look at it on Tuesday. (This was Labor Day) I get to the dealer and the KTM specialist mechanic has hurt his back and not expected back until who knows when. Hell!!!!!!!!!! I keep my buyer informed and he is very patient and nice. I finally hear from the dealer today and they think it is coming from the airbox. WTF?????????? Still awaiting final word, but my buyer didn't return my last message. I don't blame him at all. (It did come from the airbox. Very small amoumt of oil, but I guess the wind blowing it made it spread.)

I swear, that's how my luck goes. I just wish now that I knew what was really wrong with the damn thing. It's really ok that I am going to keep it. I just hate that someone was expecting to get the bike and all of this happened. And now I have to get a new MSO an top of everything else.

Don't do it! I sold my 950SE about a month ago and I wish I had it back!
