2006 ktm adventure for sale

VIN: VBKGSN4056M798267

I am selling a used 2006 KTM 640 Adventure LC4, though I'll consider local trade (Seattle or nearby) for BMW Dakar (any dual-spark model). Asking $7,500. This bike has seen 90% of its time on pavement and carries a comprehensive warranty until 4/22/2011. It has just under 16,100 miles. The tank is 6.7 gallons giving the bike a range of nearly 350 miles. It has the best suspension of any dual sport around: WP inverted forks and adjustable long travel WP rear strut. It has a solid aluminum skid plate, dual disc brakes (front), single disc rear, and a Magura hydraulic clutch.

Warranty from Western Service Contract Corp., includes:

-engine (except exhaust gaskets)
-transmission
-drive units
-front/rear suspension (except fork seals)
-steering
-brakes (except for pads)
-frame
-carburetor
-cables
-towing/rental reimbursement
-etc.

I have all service records since 2006; oil changed regularly; only Motorex power synthetic 4T oil has been used; engine has never been apart.

Extras:
-front and rear dual sport tires (Pirelli Scorpion A/T),
both in good condition (these tires are not currently on the bike, but come with it)
-standard toolkit in pouch
-user manuals in various languages (English, German, Spanish, etc)

Condition:
-seat has NO rips
-all lights and electronics work
-O-ring chain still has plenty adjustment left
-sprockets (front/rear) are in good shape
-brake pads (front/rear) are in good shape
-air filter is in good shape, no rips
-front knobby (Pirelli RallyCross) in good shape
-rear knobby (Pirelli RallyCross) needs replacing soon

Damage includes:

-scuffed tank corners from low speed falls in dirt (right and left)
-small fingernail-sized chip in right tank corner
-scratch and dent in muffler
-minor scuffs from general use

Please note that this bike is very tall (though it can be lowered with a relatively cheap after-market lowering link and by lowering the forks). I have a 30' inseam and can put the balls of my feet on the ground with spring sag set mid-way.
