I fitted a dual digital thermometer under the dash. One temperature is registered in the unit itself. The second temperature probe is on a remote wire that I have at the nose of the fairing behind the grille.
On cool days it is about 2 degrees C warmer behind the fairing. On mild days it is around 5 degrees C warmer behind the fairing. The oil cooler most certainly contributes to this difference.
