Anyone know where I can get a 10mm pipe plug?
I can't find one anywhere online. Come to think of it, I can't really find a good distributor of metric hardware at all. Any ideas?

What pipe are you trying to plug?
Is it a tapered pipe fitting? Is it a hydraulic hose? More info please

Trying to plug level check plug on final drive of an 82 R65. Threads were stripped (not my fault) and it was tapped out to a 10mm. The tap was not perfectly square (my fault) so anything with a head will not connect flush with the final drive case. I thought a tapered pipe plug would be a reasonable compromise.

A normal 10 mm bolt with a bit of gasket goo will do, or wind some teflontape around the bolt.

+1 on the pipe tape. If it's the plug I think it is, the same thing happened on one of my Beemers. I just used tape and stopped twisting it in place before I lost tension. I don't think there';s any real pressure in there, so you just have to keep dirt out as well as keep oil in during turns and bumps.

+1 on gluing it in. My ST came to me with the level plug epoxied in by a PO 2 owners prior.
Or, if you don't like the permanancy, try a nitrile (Viton) o-ring under the head of the bolt to compress unequally. That together with teflon tape should seal and resist backing out.

Go to NAPA and get a 10mm bleeder screw, it has the correct pipe thread and wont need glueing.
