I bought one of the Lam Lip. I would rather have a smaller non turblent shield than a tall complete coverage shield. I had a Aero Flow once on my R1150gs which was great in the rain on my Canada ride , but it was too hot for riding down south the other 11 months of the year. This may be the perfect solution. I noticed that since I "dished out" my seat the air is more turbulent where I am now sitting. (lower height)

Thanks PhilSpace!
I am still thinking like you and HTC... I have the F650GS but an 800 stock screen cast off from somebody with a aftermarket screen + maybe the Laminar Lip or the TT extension might work for me... I'm in NC and don't do a lot of cold weather riding.... JIm |

I installed the same set up on my bike.I wear a Arai XD and now I don,t have to use ear plugs. ( but I will .) I have to stiffen the visor ( it viberates ). This thing is great. When I cover up the hole in the lip I get Helmet noise. It is cool how these things work.

How tall are you and what is your pants inseam? I'm 6' with 29" inseam, so I sit tall.

I guess I am 5"5-5"6 --29-30 inseam.
I never realy measured my self up. But I think I am a little short F&*(er when I am on a rocky trail. |

Cee Bailey 18" Dome
I have ridden my bike with both the Cee Bailey 18" Dome and the 16" Euro shields. I prefer the looks of the shorter Euro Cut but the taller Dome Cut provides substantially better wind protection for me.
I'm 6' tall with a 30" inseam. I have a long torso. Also note the larger washers on my shield. BMW provides tiny support with their tiny shield. I felt that with the larger shield that I should have larger supports so I went to Home Depot and got a bunch of larger washers. The shield appears more stable, but the frame that BMW provides is the weak link in the support chain IMHO. The Cee Bailey shield has been used for the last two months and has made my bike much more enjoyable to ride. ![]() http://photos-by-dave-mishalof.smugm...51324715_RdyFE
