dc/nova: group buy on tire changing machine?

Who would go in on this? Keep at someones house that is central to all of us.

I spend too much money on changing tires. Cad cycles used to charge 20$, now they charge 40$ per tire. If each put in 150$ and we get 10 people, than we can get a real nice unit.

How many tire changers do you need in VA anyway?

harborfreight.com has a really nice semi automatic one for 999$.

I heard they are coming to Baltimore, MD. So it can be picked up.

1000 divided by 4 people is 250$ per person. a 250$ share would be paid off by paying 30$ per tire at a regular shop around our area by 4 changes(front and rear). And this tire changing machine can do car tires as well.

Its not worth buying if its only 1 person. I really don't care where its stored. I vote to store it in Xsquiggys place, since he is pretty central to most. But we can alternate the place from time to time as well.

If you are willing to ride all the way out of NOVA to Poonville, I do tire changes for $20 and the $ goes to a good cause

You can have your tires shipped here for only 5 dollar stocking and handleing fee!

I was just kidding about the 20 dollar tire changes. Just trying to get a rise outta the VATCSHers. We would have to have a board meeting and vote on going public.

Loudoun Motorsports is a rip off. I won't ever go there again unless its' an emergency. They charges me $30 to balance a wheel, wouldn't order me a chain because it wasn't for something they sell. THEY SUCK
