Hah, she soesn't need it 'til later

Well, the day started out good. A bunch of SoCal guys wanted to do a ride up in my neck of the woods and explore a little bit of the Los Padres. Some met in the Moorepark area and headed up to Ojai to the Deer Lodge. I met up with them there.

A lot of clean bikes in this pic

There was Sam Buca, GKennedy, Farioli, Berolina, Traveltoad, Greg Minor, Superannuated and myself. Off we went up and over Hwy 33 to the Cuyama Valley. It was a beautiful morning with only a few cages on the road.

Some of these guys are hardcore to ride, Farioli flew in from Columbia yesterday and then got up at 3AM to meet us.

Next stop was the bustling oasis of New Cuyama for breskfast where a few more ADVriders joined us. AceRph, Dyvking and this guy who had the nerve to show up on a K bike

Gerg, that thing really looks dorky in that line up of knarly ADVbikes

Dang Roger! Ouch. I'm glad I didn't go along on the dirt.. I couldn't bear to see that Transalp get busted!
So, was it fun, at least on the way down to the dirt? Oh well.. at least you'll get some TLC from the Missus for a while, right? Oh, wait.. it was HER bike! Double ouch.

Just hold your gall dang pants on or I'll post THE pic again

OK, so ACE was flyin' down the road, 80mph, feet up, tail out, just the finest riding you've ever seen when this bear, must have been 600 pounds, charges out of the brush and clothes lines him right off the bike. Then he proceeds to wrestle the thing to ground one handed and sticks him with his swiss army knife. I think that's the story Honey got anyway
