Death Valley Weekend, Pics

Went to DV a week later than DV DAZE this year due to scheduling. We arrived Wednesday 1/28, rode Thursday and Friday, and got home today. Perfect riding weather. OK we towed down, the ride from Sacramento down 99 and over to DV sucks. Been there, done that. Last year if you saw my posts it showed my Ford Excursion being towed out, no mechanical failures this year woo fucking whoo!

A bunch of us camped out. Camping was cool, campfires were good

, and the food was way better than what the Furnace Creek Ranch serves, yuck

We had some good rides. I was on my new F800GS. Only fell off a few times, OK 4 times, or was it 5, no it was 4.

Here are the routes we rode as tracked by my SPOT satellite tracker.

The southern route was out the west road and over the top via Warm Springs, up to Charlie's Ranch and over to Ballerat, and then back via the wildrose highway. For some reason I forgot to turn on the tracking mode until somewhere out by Warm Springs.

The second day took us I don't know where, ending up in Beatty, and back through TIGHTASS canyon.

Thanks GB. I added some video clips to the pic gallery, but they are huge files and take a while to load.
