Unemployment ride
Rolled outta bed early this morning, coffee, a granola bar and hopped on the GS to head out on my rounds. Went by the unemployment office to see if any wemen were hanging around. No wemen, but there was a ninefiddy and one of those new-fangled 1200 GS in the parking lot so I pulled in to see what was up.
There wasn't any temp work today so these guys wanted to ride. The 1200 rider wanted to test the off road capability of his new fangled machine and the 950 just wanted to ride. Sounds good so far so we head west on 33 past Harrisonburg an on to the foot of Second Mountain. Took a right onto a Forest Service road and 30 something miles later were back on 33. There were countless wash berms (or whatever they call those 4 foot humps in the road) good for a little air, even on the 1150 Near the top we ran across this big initial. (add your caption here) Further on we stop for a direction check and brief evaluation of the 1200. We decide to go north, and that the 1200 can at least go were the 950 and the 1150 can so far (but a little slower in the morning ) ![]() BRB.....
