I don't think anybody (at least I wasn't) is saying the 800GS isn't capable of going fast, just it's an enjoyable ride if you choose to slow down as well, as opposed to your average sportbike which is just painful to ride at speeds below what can get your license yanked.

At least that's the way it is for me

Bummer coachman, maybe you stood out a bit too much with that yellow tailbag!? Could that be a NorthFace bag just like the one I use? Perhaps I should consider coating it with some stealth black spray paint.

My yellow bag is a cheap import that has held up extremely well. The bag also has canoe duty. The yellow color of the bike and bag was part of the reason the trooper was able to spot my rapid descent down the hill where his radar gun scored a bullseye Turns out the trooper is a motorcyclist and he let me go with a stern warning My lucky day indeed!
