BTW...forgot to mention...Dave wasn't the only one with a flat rear tire on our trip. My beefy Terraflex was flat when we hit the pavement after Whitt Rd. Saturday afternoon. I guess it's true what they say about the sidewalls being so stiff you can run one flat! I thought it felt just a hair squirrely when we hit the slab but nothing major so I just kept going with the rest of the bunch on to Mike's shop in Tellico...which wasn't but a few miles at most. I felt it when we got there and sure enough it was flat. We pumped it back up to 15 lbs. and it is still holding air today. Not really sure what happened to cause the air to leak though. Maybe it's allergic to water crossings

Great people and fun riding

Thanks for all the pics Kevin. What a beautiful area we rode in. All the fallen leaves made it tough though. Hard to see those rocks underneath 'em. I got to ride with the 2 guys on KLR 650's (Don and Steve) on Sunday for 80 miles. It got colder as the day went on. Monday morning was heavy frost so I decided to head back to FL. It was great riding with you guys. The best dual sport ride I rode in FL this year was the Black Bear. Its the last weekend of March (2 days). Held in the Osceola National Forest, Lake City, FL. Danny wants to ride it next year and I will also. If you guys can find the time... make the trip. Info and pics over at www.dixiedualsport.com. Hope to be back up in the mountains for the spring event. Take care. Darrell.
