Chain & Sprockets
Big Riders in the USA.
Where do you purchase your chains and sprockets? Due to location in Suriname it is easier for me to order parts in the USA. I am looking for the (AFAM/DID) Chain with a trimeal rear sprocket. DR Parbo Paramaribo, Suriname S.A.

nave, great shots; you should consider doing a full Ride Report (if you haven't aready). I'm sure a lot of non-Big owners would like to see your bike and your country

Back to testing the Big; oh, and I bought an airoh.
![]() I'm impressed with it's lightweight, firmly held peak, and great field of vision. Not the quietest lid in the world, but that's the price you pay for good venting. And I realise robmoto will fear for my safety, so I put a luminous sticker on the topbox. ![]() Anyhoo, I still have the fuel starvation in top gear. Ran to 5500rpm, coughed a bit, and sunk to 5000 and then 4500. I'll need to root around for the tube thingy and see if it's jammed. No problems in 3rd gear, spun nicely to the redline. In 4th gear it took a few seconds to get up to 7000rpm, by which time I was doing an indicated 100mph anyway. A word about the screen(s); there was no extra buffeting with the stocker, compared to the Puig touring screen. There was still some instability at 90mph, but with a bike this wide and tall I guess that will always be a problem (especially in crosswinds). So I'm thinking the Puig is really just a bit more weather protection, that just happens to vibrate like a tuning fork. I prefer the stocker in terms of looks, too. I should also mention that I'm impressed with the gearbox, especially for a 16 year old bike. A bit of 'thunk' into 1st, but otherwise smooth and precise. I still don't like the tyres or the brakes, but I really like how the chassis is solid enough to open the throttle (early) on corner-exit. As long as the tyres and the skinny hoop can cope, of course
