Street legal DIRT bikes

Hello everyone. I have had my xr650r, plated of course, but am tired of its weight. I would basically like something thats plated, easy to load and unload for fishing/kayak river trips, fun to flick around on single track, and able to handle most road situations (no interstate). I've searched through the forums and of course the worldwide information system, but would like to see what yall had for ideas.

I was thinking of the wr250r, xt250, crf230l, and what not. The BRP is the only dirt bike i've owned so i'm very unfamiliar with whats out there, and know nothing of ktm or husky. i have a duc mts for road and easy off road. any suggestions?
