Garmin 376c Discontinued
Sonsabitches at Garmin discontinued the 376c
I can't say I'm really surprised. Once the prices on the 478's dropped, it was kind of out of place in the product line. I just hope the 478 and 276 aren't dropped. I'm really not impressed with the track handling limitations Garmin placed on the newer chartplotters.

I'm looking forward to the day when you can get a refirb 478 for 200$ like you can the 27xx series now.

I bet it won't be long that 460ish is the going price for them. Hell on Amazon, they're going for 100$ less than they were in december.

![]() Hi Steve Seriously - you are a 478 man. You'll like the track handling much better than the Zumo which sucks at track handling.

if im staying on roads, is the zumo better then the 376c or the 478?
i would like to get a gps that will work with my current xm subscription. i dont care for the weather stuff just yet. does the 376c come with full maps of the USA? does it have all roads or just highways/interstates? the 478 does not come with an xm receiver and all that like the 376c does or am i wrong? the 376c advertised only needing a xm subscription.

how well is the 376c on back roads and stuff?
iv found one for about $480 if it will do all the normal road gps routing stuff like my nuvi200w i have now and work as a xm radio as well i'd be sold on this unit.

I just received my 478 and XM antenna today.
I didn't need bluetooth or MP3s, but I really wanted the voltmeter, and didn't like the issues with the Zumo's lack of detail. XM was a 100% must have. |

Love the old Chartplotters while you can (not much longer). If you really want to have the "advanced" features of the old chartplotter software like the GPSMAP 276C - 478 then YOU ALL should be emailing Garmin.
Tell them why we need a new hardware platform replacement with many of the features of the old Chartplotters (since they will all be discontinued in the near future). If you don't tell Garmin what you want (will buy) than discussing it here is rhetorical.
