Western Services Extended Warranty
Guys & Gals,
It's time for me to purchase an extended warranty for my 2007 R12GS. I'm getting ready to burn through my initial 36,000 miles. Other than brake rotors (full swap twice now due to warpage) the bike's been superbly reliable. I was quoted $1,380 for the warranty, which would take me out to 7 years, unlimited milage. At the rate I'm going (near 18k / year) that would put me at around 125,000 miles when the warranty runs out. Or another 80k... I'm pretty much sold on getting the warrany. Western can make a bit of money off my FD & Trans fears and I'm good with that. I can sleep well at night for 5 years. And I'm even better with that. However, despite owning a BMW, I'm still a cheap fuck. $1,380 seems high. Anyone got a lead on where I can get the Warrany for a lower rate? Or, is $1,380 pretty much the going rate?
