Brushy Mountain is a Blast!

My kid and I went to Brushy Mountain today for the first time. We'll be back.

The trails range from fairly easy to difficult. Great conditions, not chewed up by quads and definitely worth checking out. Lots of up and down.

They're open 7 days a week right now, but I imagine they might go back to members only during the week and public on weekends. I mean, it was great for us, but we were literally the only ones there on a Thursday.

If you live in NC, I say check it out. Before we left, I bought 6 passes for $90, so I know we'll be back.

Some pics with my iphone:

The boy.

Old man.

Fun.

I've watched a couple of videos on their website and it looks really fun. How many miles of trails do they have?
It's about the same drive time for me to get to Hatfield, so there's where we have been going. But I really love the fact that you don't have drunks on quads flying at you from the other direction.

I was talking to the owner, Richard. If memory serves, he said there was 60-70 miles of trails on about 1,800 acres. More than enough for me. I was soaked, and we sure didn't do all of it.
