Question 2003 KTM Adventure Comfort Seat ??

Hi
Lots of Questions about the 03 Adv Seat being different. Lots of people said it was the same seat with just a different cover. Well I just got one from Holeshot today for my 2001. Yes there is a difference for the better. Wider and a different shape. While I have never seen the comfort seat for the LC4 it looks like the same shape from just seeing pictures. The stock 01 seat was less than 9" wide and the New 03 was close to 11" plus flatter and seem to be a lot more comfortable. Have not had a chance to ride the bike yet, rain changeing to snow in Montana, but will ASAP. From just sitting on it I tell a big difference. Cost was not bad,$115.00. Part #58207040500. Will try to put one the pictures.

hope it helps answer the question

sure do like the all black color, also think it is a little lower seat height. my guess would be less than an inch.

Thumb Awesome!

Good Stuff.

Looks great.

This is exactly what I was after when I did my seat mods...Mine is now also 11" wiede. 1" lower, and on slightly less of a forward cant.

I spend five hours in the saddle on a rainy Saturday this weekend, and my "hynie" was happy!

Hey fly.........good pics. wis I had some of my seat. Took the thing to Corbin, and they knocked off 21/2 in., but it takes away padding. so I put on an Airhawk seat pad from Aerostitch. Cuts vibes too. Put on foam grips......mo bettah. Good riding....Twin

And Mr. fly........where did you come up with the bash plate, and the windscreen extension? I have always been nervous about the location of that petcock. Also....have you run the tank dry? do you put it in the reserve position, AND turn the screw inside the right side, Or does it crossfeed automatically in the reserve position? The owners man. is a little sketchy about that. TIA.....Twin

Can't see its front section in any of the pics and a search of the part number turns up nothing, so is it safe to assume that this particular seat's nose fits neatly into the recess in the Adventure's fuel tank? In other words, it's rounded, not angled like the LC4 "comfort seat" mentioned & pictured in this thread?

Thanks, Flyshop!

Windscreen Question ?? for Rapid Twin

The windscreen is a Touratech for an R100 GS|PD. I had to file the stock faring a little to get the windscreen to slide on, you will see what I am talking about on the last picture. Works very good and you can take it off quickliy if you don't want it.

Hope that helps
