Anyone know if this is possible and how much it would cost for two bikes and two peeps.

The route is Denmark (or as close to Sweden as possible) to Switzerland (or the same; as close as possible).

I would check out db.de it's the offical site of the german railway company. They do have car/bike trains during the summer... Maybe the have a hamburg -> switzerland option? I do know they stop as far as italy. A friend of mine took ome back from bormio. A bed in a sleeping carriage is almost always included in the price.

I´ve never understand what the winning by taking the autozug is? I found it waste of both time and money....and of course, missing a nice riding too :norton

If you want to waist money, take the autobahn from the danish border to Austria other Schweis. It takes about 12 hours (if you are lucky, so start calculating 1200 km, tires, gas, food and hotel 1-2 nights. With the train from Hamburg to Munich you drive onboard in the evening and wake up in Munich the next morning.

But €565 will buy you a lot of km's on the bike. And 1200km is not realy more then a long days ride.

From Hamburg to Munich its 900km. The other 300km he has to drive anyway, so its somwher from 70-80euros in gasolin. But comfort and time is somthing difrent.

The train leavs to Munich from Hamburg somwher between 19-2100. So it depends on how longdrive you have before you get to Hamburg.
