Apparently the Mrs. doesn't like motorcycles in the house. Oh well, I like it.

It's right up their with my other most favorite furniture. An old Philco AM radio my grandparents had.

"Motorcycles make a fine addition to almost any decor."

-Quotes to make it seem important.

I always hauled the NX650 inside for the winter. I cleaned and fixed on it obsessively, waiting for it to get back up over 40.

Ohhhh, How I remember those.... MB and MT.

That was 1977 - ish that Iwas saving up desperately for a bike, was in boarding school, etc.
Dad found out I was saving for a used 50cc bike, and said "My kids dont ride 50's, they are just strong enough to get you into trouble, not out of it."
Next up he asked how much I had saved, and then said he would double my money so that we could get a decent bike.

Came back 2 months later for a weekend and he had bought a Yamaha RD350 Aircooled for my brother and I to share. I was 14 and my brother 12 at the time. :clap :clap :clap

Yep, I like your house ornament.

Nope.... but it was 1977 when the world did not sue each others asses off for any reason.

My Mum and Dad both are dead now, but would always let us learn through experience.
My mum used to ride an XL 185 S to go shopping etc, and crashed a few times as well, untill dad took her bike away the 3rd time she was taken out by taxis.
Those days we did not even wear helmets half the time, rode in shorts and sandals.

    Nope, no extra insurance.

But a helluva cool set of parents.
