    Cheers YFF's,

Thought I'd share some photos from rides I took this summer riding around Korea with my buddy Wheels. We're both stationed here for a year before we head back to AZ. We got our GS's from the great folks at Iron Horse Motorcycles in Tucson...and we can't wait to get back there for some slightly better riding in the Southwest. We like to call Korea the land of the "Not Quite Right" or NKR if you will. Some of the photos you see in my galleries will explain this. Let's just say they often try to emulate American culture...but somehow it's just never quite right. South Korea isn't all that bad of a place to ride really...by far the fastest way to get around as traffic lights are "optional" for mopeds and motos. Also, the Korean Super Troopers never really seem to mind our speeding on the highways. Anyway, I'll throw a few photos up here then just click the link to the gallery if you want to see more....what can I say? I'm lazy. :lol3

No need for TKC 80's over here...when we do get off the pavement this is about as bad as it gets :fyyff

Wow, haven't seen happy mounds in years.
I am guessing you were south of Seoul for most of these?

Did you buy your moto in country or did you bring it with you? I am moving to Korea in March and would love to bring my bike with me but have gotten dubious info on whether or not it can be imported.

Nice pics. I was up there a couple of weeks ago. Didn't get to ride, but did get to poke around the country. Sure is a pretty place.
Here are some pics from my trip to the DMZ:

    Optimistic train station.

I really enjoy Korea and hope some day to get to do some riding over there. The mountains remind me of upstate NY/New England.

Sounds like you are a 60 driver. Good chance I've passed you some gas.

The country side looks a lot like what I see here in Japan. Thanks for sharing.

Skitch, hope you always fasten your seatbelt :lol3

There's actually a nice district in Seoul full of bike shops. The Seoul BMW shop is great. PM me and I'll give you the details.

I took those same pictures back in 1986 when I was at Liberty Bell (Now owned by the ROK). The DMZ seems to be timeless...

I'm there for a week in November. We'll be in Pusan for business. I've got a day or two to mess around, though. Any idea if there are places to rent a bike for a day or two?
