Blueridge/Skyline ride

I am planning to start a ride in PA and come down the Skyline Drive/Blueridge Parkway route all the way to Cherokee. Can anyone give me some advice on where to stay and where not to stay? Or any other info you think helpful. I plan on camping.

I've enjoyed both well. They had decent facilities to clean up after a long ride. Prices were fair. May want to call and check on Fancy Gap, the website wouldn't open, so not sure if they're closed.
